Here you can explore trends in the data, comparing chemical concentrations at the different sampling sites.

To begin, from the menu on the left:

select a chemical,
select a site,
and select a phase.

You can then select other chemicals or sites to compare.

You may compare several chemicals at one site, or one chemical at several sites.

The temporal trend calculated here is a simple linear fit of the natural logarithm of the concentrations versus time. For more detailed trends analysis of the IADN data, please refer to IADN peer-reviewed publications.

t_½ (Halving time): number of years for the concentration of a chemical to become half of what it was at the beginning.

t₂ (Doubling time): number of years for the concentration of a chemical to double its value at the beginning.

NS (not significant): The rate of change is not significantly different from zero, i.e. it is inconclusive whether the quantity is increasing or decreasing over the given time period.
